2 more weeks!!

This week has been a crazy week! So many things going on with the planning and scheduling and double checking. But, here is the low down on the boys! Early this morning we had a NST scheduled, usually these things are quick and easy type things. They quickly found Cool J's heartbeat, but leave it to Spazoid to make things harder than usual! They could not find his heartbeat! If they did it was really faint and hard to read, or if they got a really good reading of his heart he would then move. They had to start finding where he was all over again! So, essentially this reading took longer than usual! Both boys hearts are still going strong!
The second appointment was the ultrasound. Lets just say that the ultrasound was confusing as well! There was so much baby in my belly that they had a hard time trying to figure out what foot or arm goes to who! hahaha Both boys are head down, which IS STILL AMAZING! Also, both boys are weighing at 5 1/2 lbs. Which also, for twins is great for being twins! Usually they rank on the smaller scale. This is a huge blessing because honestly I don't think we will be able to handle small babies. Being this size there is a small chance that they will be in the NICU, and if they were it would be only for a little while. Possibly for something that can easily be fixed. We couldn't get a cute picture of Cool J, being that he is so low. Somehow Spazoid was cooperating and did yet another "glam" shot. Also, they still are not afraid of reminding us that they are boys but, I will spare you the ultrasound of those haha!

Also, if you want to see the dividing line between the two boys here's a pretty cool video of what it looks like.

Spazoid, showing us that he does actually have a brain hehe
Both are head down, so basically you are seeing their bellies with their heartbeats, Spazoids hand and the wispy thing that is on the top right is the dividing line that separates the two.

My third appointment was with my dietitian. My blood sugar has been so good that I can now poke my fingers twice a day instead of four! My fingers were starting to get sore from all the poking! The dietitian also said that I had a mild case of gestational diabetes and most likely will not have diabetes after I gave birth. Thank goodness because this diabetes stuff is no joke! She also expects me to snap back really quick, compared to other twin moms! My weight gain for this pregnancy is right on target!

My fourth appointment was with my actual doctor. They said that I am all good to go with a vaginal delivery and that they are not going to flip at all because there is no room left to! haha Yes, they are fatties! They also said that they are allowed to come any time! Like literally they can come right now and they will be okay! This makes me so nervous! Its actually shocking to me that we made it this far!

The  reason that this was not posted yesterday was because the doctor called me and told me that my blood pressure was a concern. She told me to head over to labor and delivery at Good Samaritan just to be monitored for a longer period for preeclampsia. Preeclampsia is where my blood pressure goes way too high and basically a lot can go wrong. I'll save you from the list of things that could go wrong. Needless to say we are still going strong and just waiting on the boys to decide what day will be their birthday!

Week 32!!!

First of all...look at this nose and lips! 💓💓💓💓
Spazoids nose and lips!
In all honesty, this pregnancy is getting real. By that I mean really big, slow, tired and swollen! With all of that going on, it just simply means that the boys are doing great! Which I have to keep telling myself because lets be honest...ITS HARD! I always tell people that its like a half marathon (if they have ever done one) when you are in the first 10 miles, your fine, its good. There's a little pain here and there but, you can tolerate it. Then you hit mile 11 and on, you hit the famous "wall," where your body is screaming! Your mind starts playing games against you, and you start staying to yourself that you cannot keep going, you can't do it. Nevertheless you continue on because you are almost there, you are almost at the end and you can see the finish line. Just three more miles to go! And in my case 4 more weeks to go! Every woman that was has or is pregnant says that the last few months of pregnancy is THE HARDEST months. When we were first telling people about it and they told me this I just simply rolled my eyes and shrugged like "that's not going to happen to me". Well I was wrong! These few weeks have been dragging! The boys movements have been stronger and with me just moving is getting harder as well! I just have to enjoy the time with it being the three of us.

Anyways, enough with the whining...I'm done. Tyler and I have been so busy with our lives that we have really had no time to just sit back and relax and enjoy ourselves. Between baby stuff, work, and our callings in the church it has been crazy these past few months! I don't think we would ever change it, we like being busy. This past weekend we have gone to a Rodeo in Northern Cali and PBR (pro bull riding). We had so much fun, and the twins would not stop moving at both events! haha! Here's a few pictures and a video that I took to show just how much fun these things are!

Like I said...SO MUCH FUN!

So anyways, you guys came here for the boys to see how they are doing! This week was yet another great week! We had our first NST (non-stress test) which was pretty cool to hear the boys heartbeats for a long time. The boys heartbeats are exactly the same pace and everything! haha! For a while there the nurses thought that they only found one heartbeat and was only recording just that one. I don't think that the boys liked the monitor on me because they kept on kicking it and throwing offf the monitoring haha! The doctors mentioned that they have very strong heartbeats and are doing just fine!

Our next appointment was a ultrasound, which with my new diagnosis of gestational diabetes 🙄, they had to do the scanning all over again! Which takes FOREVER, but we did get some pretty sweet pictures of the boys! So without further ado...here they are!
So, Cool J's profile is a little funky because he was moving a lot...and this was the best one we got of him. But he had no problem showing us his nose and lips...and his manhood 🙄

Spazoid however was cooperating with us for the profile pictures! Which to everyone is a big surprise! However, he was being a turd to the tech when they were measuring his heart. He literally put his arm in front of his heart and they could not get him to move it! hahaha!!

EVEN MORE GOOD NEWS! Both boys are head down! So the likelihood of  me getting a C-section has greatly lowered! Unless they decide to flip last minute...which cross your fingers they don't!!! They both weigh roughly around 4.5 lbs, which is GREAT for these twins!!! Being that twins come very small or have other problems, we have been truely blessed!

As for me overall I cannot wait for them to get out of me! My feet have been swelling so much this past week...maybe its a sign...who knows , but I do keep them up though! Also, Happy hunting week for those that are hunting...we didn't draw for anything. So, in honor of us not hunting here are a few pictures of me in hunting clothes that somehow I can still fit in! hahahaha! Please look past the no make up face!

Week #30!

First  I would like to say...you guys are soooo awesome! We feel so loved and supported with these twinners it is overwhelming. Both baby showers were so fun and thank you for all who came. For the wonderful advice that was given along with the love and support!

Now on to the twinners...so if you remember from the last post LL Cool J was breech and Spazoid was head down. And we needed them to switch so the likelihood of me getting a C-section would be lowered. Well....we went in to the appointment and LL Cool J and Spazoid FLIPPED!!!  Now LL Cool J is head down and Spazoid is breech. This is exactly what we wanted! Thank you for all the prayers and good vibes! It is greatly appreciated!!

At the appointment they didn't go into detail with the weight of the boys, and the boys didn't feel like showing their faces either soooo....heres their fat bellies!!!
LL Cool J's belly

Spazoid's belly

ANNND My Belly hahahaha
Also, if you saw be at the baby showers...this picture does not do it justice! I am much bigger than this but hey, I will take the smaller look anyways hahaha
So, I tried to take a video of Spazoid and his weird movements that he does but once I got the video going...he stopped/slowed down.🙄🙄🙄(the video is really loud because I was sitting next to the t.v....just beware!) They are little movements but look at the rose in the middle...that's where you will see him move!

Week #28 Update!

There has been a lot going on these past few weeks! We had two baby showers to attend to. One in Cedar City and the other in Las Vegas. We are so glad and very thankful that all of our loved ones came and celebrated with us! We are so glad that our boys are already loved before they even come to earth. Now, we are getting ready to move into a two bedroom apartment. Just across the parking lot from where we live now. It is so nice and so much room! Other than that there's really nothing new that's going on with Tyler and me.

The boys however, are doing great! Both boys are still measuring ahead of schedule at 29 weeks and 4 days. Which again, for these boys is a great thing! Their heads however are measuring at 31 weeks!! I about died when I saw that measurement! Still kinda am!

Cool J
Cool J was the only one that we can get a profile picture from. Right now he is still in the breech position. Which means that Spazoid is head down. The doctors said that I will end up having a C-section because these boys are most likely not able to flip with them being fatties. Basically it will have to be a "hail mary" to have them flip on their own. Basically there's not a lot of room for them to flip. I am still hopeful though, being that I have pulled a few "hail mary's" myself. But, I am still hopeful that we won't have to have a C-section. (fingers crossed)

We are still getting monitored every two weeks but, we are past the TTTS threshold. The only thing that will make these boys come now is pre-eclampsia from me or other stress induced factors by the boys. They will be monitoring the boys with a stress induced test (NST) to see if we need to give birth at whatever time. They think the boys will last a while but, its better safe than sorry. Which Tyler and I have no issue with!

Week #26 on MODI boys

Today we went in for our 26 week appointment. The boys are doing great! They are measuring ahead of schedule, which is great being that they are high risk twins! Dr. P came in to the room and basically told me that I am carrying two Mcfatties! 🤣 These boys are now measured at 27 weeks and weigh 2 lbs and 3 oz. Which is on the high scale for measuring at 27 weeks! LL Cool J is in breech position, which is making me soooo nervous, being that it is getting close to the due date! And is constantly kicking my lady parts...which hurts by the way!!! Spazoid...hes still a spaz 🙄 . With every appointment, Spazoid always makes the measuring hard. Today he decided that he didn't want his heart rate to be monitored. Spazoid would hold still for a few minutes and then would move around and make the readings inaccurate right in the  middle of it! haha! Also, I got my first flu shot at this appointment! What wonderful things moms have to go through to help their babies in the outside world.

LL Cool J didn't want to show us his cute face so here is the top of his head! haha

This is Spazoid, all squished up in his fat glory haha!

Side note: (If any of you personally know me, I HATE needles! I hate anything and everything that has to do with needles and this pregnancy is making me hate them more! And you ask, but Breanne...didn't you want to go into the medical field? And my answer is yes, yes I do. I would rather stick someone else with the needle than me...any day!)

Another update; I finished with my second time, one hour glucose test. Hoping that I pass this one as well and get these things done and over with and never look back! The boys absolutely love the glucose test and are the most active at that time...and for the rest of the day! It wears me out!

Also, being that we are in our third trimester, my body temperature runs very hot. I can be in a nice temperature room and my hands will be so sweaty! Since my body temperature runs hot, I have learned that I have received a superpower. Which is that I can stand very cold temperatures! I can freeze Tyler out with the air conditioning on full blast in the car and be okay with it! haha I also can stand in the cold ocean of San Francisco and not bat an eye. In Northern California people do not go swimming in the ocean up here, unless they are wearing a whole suit, and here I am knee deep in the water loving the cold! Oh, and I also take showers on the coldest setting too and be okay with it. So I think its safe to say that with this pregnancy I gained a superpower! ahhaha!

Boys stats:
Measuring ahead of schedule at 27 weeks
Are Mcfatties
Both weigh at 2 lbs 3 oz and at the top of the  weight scale for this age
As big as Romaine Lettuce
They are practicing their breathing
Kicking their mother like no tomorrow!

Mom stats:
Gained a superpower!
Swollen feet and hands
Eating basically every three hours
Also turned into a punching bag...on the inside
A belly selfie...because my husband doesn't know how to take a good picture...apparently he needs to have some lessons.

24 weeks on the 24th

It is crazy to me that we made it this long without anything traumatic happening to the boys! (knock on wood) Anyways, we made it to our week 24 appointment without any hiccups! The boys are still measuring  ahead of schedule and are still considered rock stars for modi twins! This appointment was full of information! I took my first glucose test a few weeks back and passed with flying colors! Which they said was pretty rare for a twin pregnancy. I am soooo glad that I do not have gestational diabetes....I would probably give up on life if I ever was! haha With modi babies they regularly check the fluids to make sure that there is no development of TTTS (twin to twin fusion).
No, this does not mean that they can fuse together at any moment! They are in their own sacks so there is no way that there can be any fusing! TTTS just means that since there is one placenta, the placenta can basically choose which twin to give the nutrients to and not give anything to the other. So eventually, one twin can be bigger than the other. This is one of the big problems that modi babies face when in the womb. It is fixable through surgery, and the doctors constantly monitor for this. Hence, why I go in every two weeks compared to singleton moms.

With that information being said, one twin, Spazoid, has a little bit more fluid than LL Cool J. The doctors think that Spazoid looks like he has more fluid is because he is hanging up high in my rib cage. But, all the other fluid levels that they check for are normal. Other fluids meaning stomach, bladder and kidneys, so they are not too concerned right now but, will be checking again in two more weeks.

I also in two weeks have to take another glucose test! 🙄 Even though I passed my last test with flying colors, they found some glucose in my urine sample this morning...great. They asked me what I ate this morning, and yea..basically I had sugar!! So mental note for future appointments...do not have anything with sugar in it!!! Dr. P said that its just another precaution they are wanting to take because of the trace glucose, as well as gestational diabetes can develop at  anytime from here on out and yea we all would like me to avoid that...I will not be a happy camper! Thank goodness that it is only the hour test too...again!

Other than that these boys and this mama are doing good! The boys are kicking away and is keeping me up at  nights. Its getting really weird when they both start kicking because if you just stare at my belly you can see my belly twitch! haha Also, in some mornings Tyler and Benji will be on the couch watching tv and I will wake up like I slept next to a railway, staring at them saying that all four boys are on my crap list that day because they all kept me up at night!!

The plane tickets for the baby showers are bought and we are less than a month away from having fun with everyone! Hopefully ya'll get your invitations here soon!

Also, thought it would be cute to get a picture of the boys together...lets just say that Spazoid was yet again being a spaz 🙄🤦 And LL Cool J joining in on the wonderful cooperation...not! Just gotta get used to these boys not cooperating!

Stats of boys:
Size of a cantaloupe
Getting more color on their skin
Officially have a sleep and wake cycle! Which sucks because they are on opposite cycles!
Developed eyebrows and lashes

LL Cool J calm as always

Spazoid giving a fist bumb

Stats of Mama:
Swollen feet
Overheating
Backaches
Eating every three hours!
Napping in between those hours
No gestational diabetes
Healthy and strong!

Comments about pregnancy:
Does your OB know you gained that much weight?! 🙄🤦

Week #22

So this month for the twinners has been a great month! The boys have their nick names set! Baby A nickname is LL Cool J, being that he always is content and barley moves when the technician is doing his measurements. Baby B however, I personally nicknamed him Spazoid. He is ALWAYS giving the technician crap. Meaning that Spazoid is always moving! He will hold still for a little bit and then all the sudden he will move and throw off the measurements and will literally put up a fight with the ultrasound technician! Every technician in the office knows that Spazoid will give them a run for their money! haha!

Anyways we had our 22nd week check up the other day and so far the boys are doing great! Dr. P was so happy that they are doing so good he called them rock stars! Being this far along the boys measured ahead of schedule at 23 weeks and 4 days and weigh a 1 1/2 lbs! Which for modi babies, is a great accomplishment! The doctor even told me to tell Tyler to have him keep stuffing my face with protein cause its working.

                                                                          Stats of boys:
Nicknames: LL COOL J and Spazoid

Edgels take...

It has been a while since I have posted on this blog since 2015!! Maybe I should do a fast forward through the two years that are missing. So BEWARE this will be a long post!

-Tyler did a internship for EY in San Jose, he ended up getting the job
-Went to Atlanta for a PBL competition where Tyler competed in a lot of...nerdy accountant stuff
-Went to a Braves game and saw Flo rida
-Tyler graduated in 2016
-Decided to go on a cruise to Catalina Island, and Mexico
-Tyler moved everything to San Jose without me
-I stayed behind in Cedar City to finish my last semester of college! Which was the most hardest, funnest, and craziest semester ever!
- Also helped a cousin with her wedding preparations...which I absolutely loved doing!!
-I ended up traveling back n forth between Cedar and San Jose (almost) every weekend to see each other
- We played tourist in San Francisco multiple times
-Went to PBR (pro bull riding) which was AMAZING to watch
- I finished my last semester and joined Tyler in San Jose
- Went back to Cedar City to walk, because I mean COME ON!!! All those years of blood, sweat, and tears deserved a walk!

Soooo, that pretty much sums up what happened to us in the past few years to now. Looking to all that we had done in the past years was so much fun! We had so much experiences as a couple and I honestly wouldn't trade it for the world! Now looking to the now, we still have more adventures here in San Jose. Once I graduated I started looking for work and landed a part time job as a florist. If you didn't know, when Tyler and I were dating I was taking some floral classes in Las Vegas. Its one thing that I do not regret doing! I love making flower arrangements! Anyways I quickly excelled in making floral arrangements when another job opportunity came up. That was a nanny job, and honestly I learned so much in that job as well!
This job only lasted a few months but after that was slowly coming to a end we learned that Tyler and I were pregnant. 👀 WHHHAAATT?! Which was basically our reaction with our pregnancy test. We quickly ran out and bought more hoping that it wasn't true...sure enough all the tests showed a positive one! We then made a doctors pregnancy conformation appointment. I remember before we went in to the ultrasound and Tyler said "watch we are going to have twins" and we both laughed cause the odds of that happening was just too funny. We went in to the ultrasound room, the person that was doing the ultrasound said well I have some news...instantly Tyler and I were thinking "yea, yeah, we know, we're pregnant" and she said you guys are having twins!! 👀 WHHHAAAATTT?!?!?!?!?! Tyler had no idea what to look for and the tech showed the twins side by side and sure enough, there was TWO HEARTBEATS! Later on we told both parents that there are two babies! Both families were excited and crying, and in shock as well cause really...TWO?!?!?!

Que in the emotional roller coaster of the twins...at this time we also received some interesting news that these twins are even more special, being that our pregnancy is one of what they consider a high risk pregnancy. That they can either be momo babies (which is one placenta and one sac) or modi babies (which is one placenta and two sacs). We were so early that the doctor couldn't see if there was a dividing sac or not. We ended up going back to the same doctor when we were further along in our pregnancy and got the news that the babies were momo,😞 we ended up getting referred to a specialist for monitoring.
A few stressful weeks went by and we finally saw the specialist! I swear at least for the both of us that was one of the hardest doctor appointments that we have ever been to...at least at that time it was! With the specialist we got news that the twins were modi babies. HALELUJA! The twins are still on the high scale of high risk pregnancy but, not as high as momo! It was all fine and calm until the doctors said they needed a few blood samples. One of the tests that they tested for was for chromosomal disorders. When we went in to see the genetics counselor, she said that our test came back as 1 in 84 chance that our twins have some type of chromosomal disorder.
(Side bar, in which I am sooo glad that I took so many
biology classes because they were talking about how this testing and the numbers that we received back was skewed because we are having twins and blah blah blah...I can go on forever with everything they said that made me call BS on them with this testing)

Anyways, we had the option to do yet another testing in which they are able to take the twins DNA from my blood and test the chromosomes directly to see if there is any kind of disorder. 4 freaking weeks went by and I swear anyone that called my phone in those 4 weeks our hearts dropped! For some reason in those four weeks everyone was calling me! Our hearts skipped a few beats every time my phone rang. Then it happened, Tyler was at work and I was at home when I got the phone call. They told me that the twins have no chromosomal disorder, in which I started to cry. In this test they are able to tell what gender the twins were and they said that they found a Y chromosome in my blood! I started crying and told the lady...BOYS?!?! before she even was able to say that they were boys haha! (biology degree for the win haha!) We hung up and I quickly texted Tyler to call me. I swear it was two seconds later after I sent the message that Tyler called me and I told him the news that I received...yea...we both ugly cried.

The top of the boys heads
So now that all the testing is done and over with, the boys are fine and healthy. At every ultrasound you can already tell the babies personalities. Baby A is the one that is calm and content in his own little bubble and barley moves and Baby B is always the one that makes the ultrasound tech work hard for their money! hahaha B is always the one that is constantly moving around and will never hold still, and at every appointment that we go to, my belly is always shaken to try to get B to stop moving around so much. I have nicknamed him spazoid because of this, and the ultrasound techs agree that he is a big spaz! Also at one of the ultrasound appointments when I did a little gender revel with my mom, the techs said that they are "very boy" being that they are not shy in showing everyone their manhood hahaha! And there is no guessing that those parts are for sure boys being well endowed! That appointment was too funny because literally everyone that came in to look at the boys seriously commented on the boys manhood hahaha!

The only "bad thing" that we have left to face is called twin to twin transfusion. Basically its the placenta giving the nutrients to one twin instead of the other. This can happen at any time, but we are hopeful that this won't happen and we will have happy healthy boys in the end!
Baby A profile picture

And I know that this is a lot but hey, this is our lives and this is what has been happening to us over the past few years. We couldn't be anymore happier!

Baby B profile picture
So far I haven't had any real crazy cravings. I just eat little meals throughout the day to curb my appetite. A few weeks ago it was Del taco bean and cheese burritos and Root Beer. Nothing too crazy yet!
Aaaannndd here's how big I am at my official halfway mark!
19 weeks exactly!
