It has been a while since I have posted on this blog since 2015!! Maybe I should do a fast forward through the two years that are missing. So BEWARE this will be a long post!
-Tyler did a internship for EY in San Jose, he ended up getting the job
-Went to Atlanta for a PBL competition where Tyler competed in a lot of...nerdy accountant stuff
-Went to a Braves game and saw Flo rida
-Tyler graduated in 2016
-Decided to go on a cruise to Catalina Island, and Mexico
-Tyler moved everything to San Jose without me
-I stayed behind in Cedar City to finish my last semester of college! Which was the most hardest, funnest, and craziest semester ever!
- Also helped a cousin with her wedding preparations...which I absolutely loved doing!!
-I ended up traveling back n forth between Cedar and San Jose (almost) every weekend to see each other
- We played tourist in San Francisco multiple times
-Went to PBR (pro bull riding) which was AMAZING to watch
- I finished my last semester and joined Tyler in San Jose
- Went back to Cedar City to walk, because I mean COME ON!!! All those years of blood, sweat, and tears deserved a walk!
Soooo, that pretty much sums up what happened to us in the past few years to now. Looking to all that we had done in the past years was so much fun! We had so much experiences as a couple and I honestly wouldn't trade it for the world! Now looking to the now, we still have more adventures here in San Jose. Once I graduated I started looking for work and landed a part time job as a florist. If you didn't know, when Tyler and I were dating I was taking some floral classes in Las Vegas. Its one thing that I do not regret doing! I love making flower arrangements! Anyways I quickly excelled in making floral arrangements when another job opportunity came up. That was a nanny job, and honestly I learned so much in that job as well!
This job only lasted a few months but after that was slowly coming to a end we learned that Tyler and I were pregnant. 👀 WHHHAAATT?! Which was basically our reaction with our pregnancy test. We quickly ran out and bought more hoping that it wasn't true...sure enough all the tests showed a positive one! We then made a doctors pregnancy conformation appointment. I remember before we went in to the ultrasound and Tyler said "watch we are going to have twins" and we both laughed cause the odds of that happening was just too funny. We went in to the ultrasound room, the person that was doing the ultrasound said well I have some news...instantly Tyler and I were thinking "yea, yeah, we know, we're pregnant" and she said you guys are having twins!! 👀 WHHHAAAATTT?!?!?!?!?! Tyler had no idea what to look for and the tech showed the twins side by side and sure enough, there was TWO HEARTBEATS! Later on we told both parents that there are two babies! Both families were excited and crying, and in shock as well cause really...TWO?!?!?!
Que in the emotional roller coaster of the twins...at this time we also received some interesting news that these twins are even more special, being that our pregnancy is one of what they consider a high risk pregnancy. That they can either be momo babies (which is one placenta and one sac) or modi babies (which is one placenta and two sacs). We were so early that the doctor couldn't see if there was a dividing sac or not. We ended up going back to the same doctor when we were further along in our pregnancy and got the news that the babies were momo,😞 we ended up getting referred to a specialist for monitoring.
A few stressful weeks went by and we finally saw the specialist! I swear at least for the both of us that was one of the hardest doctor appointments that we have ever been to...at least at that time it was! With the specialist we got news that the twins were modi babies. HALELUJA! The twins are still on the high scale of high risk pregnancy but, not as high as momo! It was all fine and calm until the doctors said they needed a few blood samples. One of the tests that they tested for was for chromosomal disorders. When we went in to see the genetics counselor, she said that our test came back as 1 in 84 chance that our twins have some type of chromosomal disorder.
(Side bar, in which I am sooo glad that I took so many
biology classes because they were talking about how this testing and the numbers that we received back was skewed because we are having twins and blah blah blah...I can go on forever with everything they said that made me call BS on them with this testing)
Anyways, we had the option to do yet another testing in which they are able to take the twins DNA from my blood and test the chromosomes directly to see if there is any kind of disorder. 4 freaking weeks went by and I swear anyone that called my phone in those 4 weeks our hearts dropped! For some reason in those four weeks everyone was calling me! Our hearts skipped a few beats every time my phone rang. Then it happened, Tyler was at work and I was at home when I got the phone call. They told me that the twins have no chromosomal disorder, in which I started to cry. In this test they are able to tell what gender the twins were and they said that they found a Y chromosome in my blood! I started crying and told the lady...BOYS?!?! before she even was able to say that they were boys haha! (biology degree for the win haha!) We hung up and I quickly texted Tyler to call me. I swear it was two seconds later after I sent the message that Tyler called me and I told him the news that I received...yea...we both ugly cried.

| The top of the boys heads |
So now that all the testing is done and over with, the boys are fine and healthy. At every ultrasound you can already tell the babies personalities. Baby A is the one that is calm and content in his own little bubble and barley moves and Baby B is always the one that makes the ultrasound tech work hard for their money! hahaha B is always the one that is constantly moving around and will never hold still, and at every appointment that we go to, my belly is always shaken to try to get B to stop moving around so much. I have nicknamed him spazoid because of this, and the ultrasound techs agree that he is a big spaz! Also at one of the ultrasound appointments when I did a little gender revel with my mom, the techs said that they are "very boy" being that they are not shy in showing everyone their manhood hahaha! And there is no guessing that those parts are for sure boys being well endowed! That appointment was too funny because literally everyone that came in to look at the boys seriously commented on the boys manhood hahaha!
The only "bad thing" that we have left to face is called twin to twin transfusion. Basically its the placenta giving the nutrients to one twin instead of the other. This can happen at any time, but we are hopeful that this won't happen and we will have happy healthy boys in the end!

And I know that this is a lot but hey, this is our lives and this is what has been happening to us over the past few years. We couldn't be anymore happier!

So far I haven't had any real crazy cravings. I just eat little meals throughout the day to curb my appetite. A few weeks ago it was Del taco bean and cheese burritos and Root Beer. Nothing too crazy yet!
